Dean Henderson Staying With Sheffield United

Manchester United have no intention of recalling Dean Henderson, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Englishman is currently enjoying his second successive loan spell at Sheffield United, a place where he has truly made a name for himself.

After helping guide the Blades back into the promise-land, Henderson has been influential in keeping the club up this season. In fact, the Yorkshire side have exceeded all expectations and even find themselves in the hunt for Champions League qualification – the Englishman’s ten clean sheets have gone a long way in securing such a position.

Due to their league standing, there was speculation as to whether the Red Devils would recall Henderson from his loan early. The hiatus of football around the country has raised question marks over loanees, as such deals are meant to expire on June 30th. With the season’s end date now being prolonged, fans debated whether United would recall the 22-year-old and thus place a dent in the Blades’ CL hopes.

As per the MEN though, the club have no intention in doing that. Henderson is clearly well settled in Sheffield and is benefiting from experience in the top-flight. Ending this deal early would simply cause fiction between the club and player, a situation United have in their powers to avoid.

Whilst no official announcement has been announced yet, it seems the most practical decision is being made, in simply extending Henderson’s loan with Sheff United.
